Exploring Boston and its surrounding towns means I’ve had the opportunity to stumble upon some local gems that don’t always receive the recognition they deserve. That’s how I felt about 3 Little Figs and Forge Baking Company when I happened upon them in the Somerville area.

3 Little Figs is a quaint cafe, but its flavors are anything but. From the gourmet coffee, to the homemade pastries and sandwiches, everything they serve will enliven your taste buds and leave you feeling truly satisfied. Whether you stop by for breakfast or lunch, the coffee will be flowing, and you certainly won’t leave hungry.

And then there is Forge Baking Company. Set in a former warehouse, the space has been transformed into an airy atmosphere, while still proudly displaying elements of its industrial past. They are pairing high quality coffee with freshly baked artisanal breads, pastries, and sandwiches. With carbs and coffee, Forge Baking Company has created a space you truly won’t ever want to leave.
